How to time your script
At 150 words per minute, a 1,000-word script has an estimated spoken runtime of 6:40. Use the creator preset for a 160 WPM starting point, or measure a rehearsal and enter your own pace. The estimate does not include shots without dialogue.
Paste only the lines you plan to say aloud. Stage directions, shot notes, and speaker names count as words if they remain in the text. For a video with multiple speakers, check each section at the relevant pace. Set your desired runtime to get a concrete editing target. Keep transitions and a closing line in your word budget, and rehearse once more after any substantial edit.
